Boost Fund awardees beat the odds!
Of the 46 nursing students this community supported since 2025, 96% graduated to become working nurses! Beating the state average by 41%.
This demonstrates the impact of even modest-sized midpoint grants. Safety-net support that arrives just in time sends financial relief and also a boost of confidence that what they're doing matters - an impact the students will carry with them as working nurses.
"This award inspires me to give my best in the classroom and beyond."

Our short gathering to congratulate Practical Nursing students who received completion grants from Boost Fund For Students, delivered a beautiful dose of care and encouragement. The deep connection between the staff and students that they've built in this program was inspiring. These dedicated Nursing students are making it through a challenging 10-month curriculum on their way to become compassionate and skilled medical professionals. The schooling is intense on top of fulltime jobs and households to run, and I was inspired seeing the instructors and students providing so much care and support for each others' success. It was a joy to be with them to honor their great work and a reminder of how we can all achieve great things through focus, persistence, and a crowd of supporters cheering us on when we need it.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous contributions to the fundraiser that made my grant possible. Your fund is more than financial support, it's a vote of confidence in my dreams and my ability to make a difference in the lives of others.”

“Becoming a nurse I will be the first person in my family to complete a program in higher education. I hope this is the first generational “curse” to be broken. Thank you so much to the donors of boost fund for students.”
